Moved to Redding in 2000 from the San Francisco Bay Area
Gary is a retired SFPD Inspector, 31 years.
Kathy was an owner of Saxe Mortgage Company, San Francisco. She has a real estate broker license and manages property investments for select investors.
Gary & Kathy have been married 39 years. Have three children, Kimberly, 36 yrs. Lives in Highland Park, Ill. Kim has 4 children. Jason, 34years, lives in Petaluma, has two children. Matthew, 31 years, lives in Vacaville, has two children.
We have been active in hot rods and street rods since the mid-60's. When Gary and Kathy were dating, Kathy would be Gary's security at the drags. While Gary was racing his 1963 Galaxie lightweight 427, Kathy made sure no one messed with his stuff. Gary knew right away, Kathy was a keeper.
Over the years we have owned numerous cool cars, we enjoy all makes and models, have probably owned one or more of everything, (an exaggeration, but pretty close to true). Presently we have a 1936 ford 2 door slantback, a 1941 Ford Business coupe, and a 1955 ford f-100.
We joined the GVSR in 2005, and thoroughly enjoy the camaraderie and have made some good friends in the process.
